Lemongrass  — Aromatic spices — Creamy body

 

The group “COFFEE ORIGIN GRUPO ORGANICO SUR DEL HUILA” is made up of small producers who produce under the culture of organic agriculture. The group is certified to market and export organic coffee in Japan, Europe, the United States and Canada. The coffee growers who make up this group have been implementing practices according to organic agriculture for years.  The main objective of the group is not just produce a certified organic coffee but indeed a specialty coffee, and this results as well from its physical appearance – with little defects -- as from its organoleptic attributes.  Producers belonging to this group are located in the South of the Department del Huila, in the municipalities of Isnos, San Agustín, Pitalito and Acevedo.  The coffee we have in our roastery today is a blend of three of their organic producers, 2 located in the upper part of the municipality of Isnos (1750 M altitude) and one in the municipality of Acevedo (1450 M altitude).  The varieties are castillo, caturro and colombia.  The process is washed with 18 to 30 hours of fermentation.
